William S. Fairman, III

William S. Fairman, III, 75, of Juniata Street Extension, DuBois, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on September 7, 1940 in DuBois, he was the son of the late William S. Fairman, Jr. & Eleanor (Reed) Fairman.

On April 30, 1961, he married Emily D. (Shaw) Fairman. She survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Bill was the owner/operator of Fairman Farms in DuBois his entire life where he was well known for his produce and sweet corn. He bred and shown Arabian Horses and registered Holstein Cows.

He is survived by 3 sons (Scott Fairman and his wife Gail; Rod Fairman and his wife Lesley; and Shawn Fairman, all of DuBois, PA) 2 sisters (Delores Gearhart of DuBois, and Margaret Dickey of Big Canoe, GA) 2 brothers (Thomas Fairman of DuBois, and Richard Fairman of New York, New York) 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. from the Tri County Church with Pastor Dan Smith officiating.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
