Winona M. “Nonie” Hetrick

winona hetrick obitWinona M. “Nonie” Hetrick, 81, Punxsutawney, died Friday, April 15, 2016, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born February 17, 1935, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Florence M. (Holmes) and Clair O. London.

On December 4, 1954, she married Robert L. Hetrick, who preceded her in death on September 8, 1997.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She worked at Rolo-Jensen and as a Certified Nursed Aide for many years.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping, crossword and word search puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Hetrick was a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Beta Sorority.

Surviving relatives include three children, two daughters, LeAnn Hetrick of of Punxsutawney and Linda Kerns-Stanford and husband Steve of Punxsutawney, and a son Barry Hetrick and wife Kimberly of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Brilyn, Bailey, and Shayla; two great grandchildren, Lincoln and Axle; and two great-great grandchildren, Skylyn and Haden; a sister Margaret Kiehl of Brookville; three brothers, David London and wife Sharon of Harrisville, Richard London and wife Sandra of Brookville, and Darwin London and wife Linda of DuBois; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Robert Hetrick and a sister Erma J. Dinger.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016, and also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the funeral home with Reverend Douglas Dyson officiating.

Interment will be in Markton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Hetrick, to the American Cancer Society.
