THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING FOR MERCER-VENANGO-FOREST-CLARION-JEFFERSON PA – INCLUDING THE CITIES OF…SHARON…HERMITAGE…GROVE CITY…GREENVILLE…FARRELL…OIL CITY…FRANKLIN…SUGARCREEK…TIONESTA…CLARION…PUNXSUTAWNEY…BROOKVILLE…REYNOLDSVILLE…BROCKWAY

* HAZARD TYPES…HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS…6 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW.
* TIMING…LATER THURSDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY.
* IMPACTS…STRONG WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW.
* WINDS…WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES…FALLING FROM THE MID 30S INTO THE UPPER 20S.
* VISIBILITIES…LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN SNOW AND
BLOWING SNOW.
