Woman Allegedly Grabs Man’s Throat, Threatens to Kill Him with Box Cutter

crime-newsBIG RUN, Pa. (EYT) – A Big Run woman is facing charges after she allegedly grabbed a man by the throat and threatened to kill him while picking up a box cutter.

According to a criminal complaint, police responded to a report of an assault at about 1:54 p.m. on July 9.

Police spoke with Samantha Rose Trader, 19, of Big Run, who allegedly said she and a man had engaged in a verbal altercation which turned physical, the complaint states.

Trader allegedly said she kicked and grabbed the victim by the throat several times and said she was “going to kill him” while holding up a box cutter, the complaint indicates.

Police noted the victim sustained two red scratch marks on both sides of his neck, the complaint continues.

According to online court documents, Trader was arraigned at 7:45 p.m. on July 9 before District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak on the following charges:

  • Aggravated assault, a second-degree felony
  • Terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, first-degree misdemeanor
  • Simple assault, second-degree misdemeanor
  • Harrassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, summary

Court documents indicate the case was transferred.
