Woman Identified in Brookville Hit-and-Run Accident

ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local woman was involved in a recent hit-and-run accident in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Punxsutawney-based State Police Tpr. Suprano said the accident happened on January 16 around 4:16 p.m. in the parking lot of A & M Self Storage, just off of State Route 28.

Tpr. Suprano said a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling in reverse on a snow-covered, gravel-surfaced parking lot when it struck a storage unit.

Police said the driver fled the scene and failed to notify the owner of the accident.

The storage unit’s door and a support beam sustained damage as a result of the accident.

On January 17, police identified Jennifer L. Claypoole, 36, of Corsica, as the driver and notified her of the crash investigation, according to Tpr. Suprano

No charges have been filed against Claypoole.
