Woman Injured in Weather-Related Crash on Route 119

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 3:16 p.m. on January 7, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Route 119, near the intersection with Sawmill Road, in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County.

According to police, Jennifer Santiago, 42, of Clymer, Pa., was traveling on Route 119 and slid sideways on the snow-covered road. Her 1998 Chrysler Concorde traveled approximately 54 feet across the shoulder and struck a concrete barrier with its front left side.

The vehicle then spun clockwise traveling for approximately 30 feet and struck the concrete barrier again with its rear left side.

The vehicle came to a rest at the concrete barrier facing southwest.

Santiago was transported to Punxsutawney Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Two juvenile passengers were uninjured in this accident.
