Woman Killed, 5 Injured in Armstrong County Crash

ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A three-vehicle crash in Armstrong County has left one person dead and five others injured, according to authorities.

Authorities say the accident happened Saturday around 12:30 a.m. on State Route 422 in Plumcreek Township, according to KDKA.com.

A Jeep Commander struck the rear of a Ford Mustang that was attempting to make a left turn onto State Route 2021.

The force of the impact resulted in the Mustang crashing into a third vehicle.

A female passenger in the Mustang was transported to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The operator of the Mustang, who was ejected from the vehicle, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment of serious injuries.

Two people in the Jeep were flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment of unknown injuries.

Two occupants in the third vehicle were treated for minor injuries.

Authorities have not released the names of the persons involved in the crash.
