Woman, Toddlers Involved in Barnett Twp. Crash

BARNETT TWP. Pa. (EYT) – Police say a 23-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and struck an embankment along State Route 899 in Barnett Township on Sunday evening.

According to police, around 6:02 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 23-year-old Nastassja M. Layer, of York, Pa. was operating a 2008 Toyota Camry, traveling south on State Route 899 just north of Greenwood Road in Barnett Township.

Police say Layer lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left turn and struck an embankment off the east side of the road with the front bumper of the vehicle. The vehicle then came to rest facing south in the ditch on the east side of the roadway.

Layer was wearing a seatbelt and her passengers, a 3-year-old female and a one-year-old male, were both secured in rear-facing child safety seats.

No injuries were reported.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
