WRC Director of Home & Community Based Services Appointed to Brookville Chamber of Commerce Board

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – WRC Senior Services’ Director of Home and Community Based Services, Julie Swonger, was recently nominated and successfully appointed to the Brookville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at their recent meeting.

Swonger was one of numerous candidates vying for a seat on the board. Julie, a native of the Brookville area, has worked in this area for over 30 years and is deeply rooted in the community. She is familiar with the local economy and served on numerous boards including the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Community Action, First Assembly of God Board, Housing and Services in Brookville and surrounding communities, and other organizations. She is also a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She possesses a lot of experience and connections that will greatly benefit the Brookville Chamber of Commerce.

As part of WRC’s commitment to our community, employees are encouraged to serve on local boards and join civic organizations. We want to integrate our employees into the communities that support us and we encourage everyone to get involved and take an active role to improve the areas in which we live and work.

Julie is honored to be appointed to the Brookville Chamber of Commerce Board and is eager to help advance the Chamber’s mission to stimulate the economic climate of the area, promote membership businesses and assist with civic activities which enhance the quality of life of our community.
