Police say around 8:05 p.m. on January 8, a 16-year-old Big Run male was traveling north on Wayne Road. While negotiating a curve in the roadway, his 2006 Toyota Corolla slid on the ice-covered road.
The car exited the eastern portion of the roadway, impacted a tree, and came to a final rest facing north off the eastern berm, according to police.
The teen driver was not injured.
A passenger in the teen’s car – a 16-year-old Brookville male – suffered minor injuries.
Both teens were using seat belts.
The car sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene by Brosius Towing.
