According to police, 20-year-old William A. Degolier, of DuBois, was driving northbound on SR 950 when his 2003 Ford Taurus lost traction on the slush/snow-covered roadway.
The car hit the embankment on the west side of the roadway, continued across the road, and struck a guide rail on the east side of the road. The car went over the guide rail and came to its final resting position facing northwest, police say.
He was using a seat belt and was not injured.
