According to a release issued by PSP Punxsutawney on December 3, this crash happened around 3:59 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, on State Route 36, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.
Police say a 1998 Ford Econoline E150 was traveling north at a high rate of speed when the van began to lose control on the “heavily snow covered roadway,” causing it to spin and strike an embankment located off the southbound lane.
The vehicle sustained minor front end damage and was left at the scene due to a lack of tow services available at that time.
No injuries were reported.
The operator’s name was not released.
According to police, a trooper was tending to an abandoned vehicle on SR-36, when he observed the vehicle traveling north at a high rate of speed.
The operator was charged with two traffic citations.
