The theme should be Christmas, Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, New Year's, or Winter. There will be a $10.00 entry fee at the door to enter the contest. Participants must be 18 years old to enter. Pennsylvania in an Ice Age
This topic will be discussed in depth when Thomas Glover presents “Pennsylvania’s Paleoclimate at the Last Glacial Maximum “ at the Friday, February 19 meeting of the North Fork Chapter 29 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology. His program will present a model to estimate Pennsylvania’s macroclimate during the Last Glacial Maximum, 18,000 – 21,000 BP. He will also present an overview of periglacial features from Pennsylvania that supports the model’s estimates. The program begins at 7:00 PM

Jefferson County Chert Archaeology Presentation
Jefferson County chert is a poorly recognized lithic material that is found within the geologic context of northwestern Pennsylvania. Local Native Americans quarried and used this stone to make projectile points and other stone tools as early as 7000 BC. Because of its limited sourcing it creates a fingerprint of the movement of people over thousands of years within this region. Hunter-Trapper Education at Heritage House
This is a six-hour training class required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can buy a license. You must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training. In order to prepare for your class, read Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9 located at Today's Hunter & Trapper in PA. Artifact Identification Program
Ever wonder how old an arrowhead is or what that unusual rock you have might really be?
