CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion Area School District Superintendent Michael Stahlman is slated to take over as the new Executive Director for Riverview Intermediate Unit #6, effective January 1, 2019.
The IU Board approved the hiring of Stahlman for the full-time position at its October 3 meeting.
Stahlman will replace Jeff Brown who is retiring at the end of the year. The Board also approved a contract with Brown as a consultant at a rate $65.00 per hour for a maximum of 75 hours starting January 1.
Brown said that as of Tuesday morning, Stahlman had not signed the contract. Salary information will be released when it is finalized.
Riverview Intermediate Unit #6, based in Clarion, is a regional educational service agency that supports the needs of the public and nonpublic schools in Clarion, Jefferson, Forest, and Venango Counties and parts of Armstrong, Butler, Clearfield, Crawford, and Indiana Counties.
Stahlman’s future at Clarion Area is expected to be discussed during Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
