Arlene SteinCLARION, Pa. – Dr. Arlene Stein, a sociology professor at Rutgers University, will present “Holocaust Denial, Islamophobia, and the Politics of US Nativism” at 7:00 p.m. on April 24, in Clarion University Theater, Suites on Main North.

Her visit is in recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Stein is a child of Holocaust survivors who created this lecture in light of recent political events.

In addition to her work at Rutgers, she is author of four books.

Her most recent book, “Reluctant Witnesses: Survivors, Descendants, and the Rise of Holocaust Consciousness,” studies how mass traumatic events impact the families of survivors, as well as how they share the stories of these events.

In September, she also published “Persecution of Homosexuals in Nazi Germany and The Holocaust,” on Wikipedia.
