Reynoldsville Man Busted for Meth

REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man is facing felony drug charges after officers of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force conducted a controlled buy.

Court documents indicate the Jefferson County District Attorney filed criminal charges against 39-year-old Timothy Michael Beattie, of Reynoldsville.

According to a criminal complaint, on July 19, officers of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force conducted a controlled drug buy between a Confidential Informant (C.I). and Timothy Michael Beattie.

The complaint states the C.I. arranged to buy .5g of methamphetamine from Beattie for $80.00. Officers conducted surveillance on the target location as the C.I. entered the residence around 6:35 p.m. and the exited again around 6:47 p.m.

The C.I. then turned over a clear baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. The substance was later NIK tested and tested positive for methamphetamine.

Based on the investigation, Beattie was arraigned at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, August 10, in Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor

Unable to post $100,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Jefferson County jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, with Judge Inzana presiding.
