Jefferson County Woman Accused of Breaking into Residence, Stealing Money and Pills

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County woman is facing felony burglary and related charges after she allegedly broke into a Henderson Township residence and took cash and prescription medication.

Court documents indicate that the Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges against 25-year-old Marissa Marie Frantz of Sykesville.

A criminal complaint filed by Tpr. Green indicates that Frantz removed a window from its tracks to gain entry to a residence in Henderson Township during a time she knew the victim would be at work.

The victim reported approximately twenty-five 10mg Cyclobenzaprine tablets and $150.00 cash were missing following the break-in.

According to the complaint, Frantz admitted to breaking the window and entering the residence through the opening.

Based on the investigation, the following charges were filed on Monday, August 6, in Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office:

  • Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 1
  • Criminal Trespass-Break Into Structure, Felony 2
  • Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 2
  • Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 2
  • Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, with Judge Inzana presiding.
