Manhunt Continues for Violent Felon

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) — The manhunt continues for a felon who fled parole officers in Indiana County on May 22.

Randy Ray Shank, Jr. is 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds. He has short, reddish-brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with possibly a John Deere logo and jeans.

Shank has a full beard/mustache and multiple tattoos.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say Shank fled parole officers around 7:14 a.m. on Monday, May 22, at 188 Dug Hill Road, Canoe Township., Indiana County.

Shank fled the residence in a white Chevrolet Cavalier and crashed that vehicle a short distance away on Barnett Hill Road. Shank is suspected of fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

He has an active arrest warrant and is known to have violent tendencies.

Shank has criminal records in both Jefferson and Indiana counties. He has served time in state prison for aggravated assault, DUI, and terroristic threats.
