State Police Seeking Information on Burglary in Canoe Township

CANOE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are asking for the public’s help with any information pertaining to a burglary that occurred recently in Canoe Township.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, Punxsutawney is currently investigating a burglary incident at a camp located on Dombs Hill Road in Canoe Township.

According to police, the incident occurred sometime between Saturday, May 26, and Monday, June 11, when an unknown individual(s) arrived by motor vehicle and used an unknown object to pry open the front aluminum door. Once they gained entry, the unknown individual(s) stole a 50-inch Vizio flat screen television.

Police say several keys from within the camp were also stolen and used to enter the locked garage, where the individual(s) stole a red Homelite chainsaw and a set of automatic hedge clippers.

The total estimated loss was approximately $675.00.
