According to a criminal complaint, on Wednesday, June 7, Brookville Borough Police Department Officer Markle responded to Laurelbrooke Landing, a facility of WRC Senior Services. The director of the facility said that a caregiver-in-training reported abuse of two known Laurelbrooke Landing residents in the memory support unit.

The residents were physically and mentally abused by three staff members on June 6 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the complaint states.

One of the residents needed to be helped up and dressed for supper. When Hannah and Haley Shirey entered his room, he was kicking and moving around while they attempted to dress him. Haley Shirey allegedly started squeezing his neck and hitting him in the face. Later that night he needed help getting ready for bed, and Haley allegedly said to several people that she would “love to punch him in the face,” the complaint states.

Haley and Hannah went into the room to help him get ready for bed, and Hannah allegedly started choking him. The witness stated that the resident was gasping for air, the complaint indicates.

Hannah also allegedly grabbed “(the resident) by the hair, pulling it. Haley grabbed his leg and bent it toward his head causing pain to him once again,” the complaint states.

A doctor checked the resident and observed a bruise on his forehead and a scratch on his neck, according to the complaint.

A second resident began making noises, squealing – which is usual behavior for him. Hannah Shirey allegedly then went and got a cup of ice and dumped it down the resident’s back, and he began yelling at her for her actions, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, Rebekah Call, a LPN Supervisor, observed the actions of Haley Shirey and Hannah Shirey toward the residents. She is a mandated reporter for this type of abuse, and police indicated that she failed to report the actions of her co-workers, Haley Shirey and Hannah Shirey.

They already removed my comment . They should stick to little league reporting and leave the news to a real reporter . People not from here laugh when they read the so called news they post . You know the free 50 cent pizza drawing and the other stupid games they play . The site is good for a laugh but they need to quit protecting scum like these criminals .

Explore Clarion needs to have a 1st Amendment Audit conducted. They don’t report news, they report crap. I have been watching the site statistics for this site and traffic for months on thier Beta ExploreJeffersonPA and also ExploreVenango sites. This is not news, this is garbage, people. Also with adds they are making money exploiting citizens of this county. Their will also be an ExploreCookForest coming soon in the works.. watch and wait..LOL..Take down my freedom of speech and I will have a civil judgment on the docket faster than they could put out their next story.. What a shame!!

Your thread was removed By Explore Clarion. I just spoke with Disquis and they said there were no flags or comments from any other users to take any posting downs for this comments section. In layman’s terms: Yes, Jake you took it down.

So you can have my IP address..no thanks there Mr. Jake. Anyway, there will be a new online news website for Clarion County coming in 2018. It is nder current design as we speak. It will not have any of this bogus and defamatory, kiss ass stuff that these guys do. Also a kickstarter campaign will be starting shortly to boycott All of ExploreClarion and its entities and Dagny Design Group. I will let everyone know so they can donate to “bump” this “news” team” out of the county. Have a nice day!

Yes it has been almost a week since the comments were posted but if jake bauer would have read my comment he would understand what was said. I said explore clarion blocked me for my comments. Never did i say comments were blocked from this thread. Understand what i said that got me booted was that rustler services could have cleaned up an accident faster than bauer truck repair could have on i-80. That is my opinion. It is NOT spam, harassment, soliciting nor a threat. It is my opinion and with 1st amendment laws i feel i should NOT be blocked for what i said. It does look bad that i said something against a company that advertises on a website and the person that is defending a website decision has the same last name. Things dont happen by accident.
