Resurfacing Work Begins Next Week on Route 2031 in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – Motorists will have a smoother ride on approximately 1.55-mile-long section of Route 2031, Soldier Road, in Jefferson County following an improvement project.

This $513,965 resurfacing project is being constructed by HRI, Inc., and is expected to be completed in June.

Work includes milling and paving, curb ramps, drainage, guiderail, and other miscellaneous construction.

Daylight, flagger-controlled lane restrictions begin next week on Route 2031, Soldier Road, in Sykesville Borough from Route 119 to Winslow Township for this resurfacing project.

Congestion and delays are possible in high volume traffic periods. Motorist should be prepared to stop and allow extra time for morning and evening commutes.

Obey flaggers and other traffic control devices. Remember to slow down and use caution in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones.
