Robert “Bob” Harry McKinley

Robert “Bob” Harry McKinley, 78, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Bob was born on September 12, 1939, to the late Ralph Arden and Hazel Marie (Milliron) McKinley, in Brookville, PA; he was the last child born on the McKinley farm and delivered by Dr. A.C. McKinley, M.D.

Through his 12 years of school, he attended Sigel but was part of the first graduating class of the Brookville Area Joint Schools. For over two years he served in the United States Army and he was stationed in France.

On August 2, 1963, he married Juanita “Kay” Johnson and after almost 55 years of marriage, Kay survives him.

Bob spent over forty years driving a cement mixing truck for W. Paul Glenn. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and wood crafting and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by three children; M. Michele (James R. Jr.) Williams, Robert R. (Penny) McKinley, and Melinda K. (Fiance Monte West) Wiles; two grandchildren; Joshua J. (his husband Joseph J. Walsh) Wiles, and Tori L. Williams; one sister-in-law; Mary McKinley; one brother-in-law; John K. II (Cathy) Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by two brothers; Donald Ralph McKinley and his wife Esther R. (Brocious) McKinley, Bernard Eugene McKinley; and one grandson, Joseph Robert Wiles.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA. There will be no public service, and Bob will be interred at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Eldred Township, Jefferson County, PA.
