State Police Calls: DUI, Assault, Theft

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following incidents:

DUI in Summerville Borough

Around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, Punxsutawney-based State Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of Harrison Street and Carrier Street Extension in Summerville Borough which resulted in the DUI arrest of a known 26-year-old Pittsburgh woman.

The man’s name was not released.

Assault in Gaskill Township

According to police, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, a known female victim was engaged in a physical altercation at a location along Pleasant Hill Road in Gaskill Township.

Charges are pending through Magisterial District Court 54-3-01.

The suspect’s name was not released.

Theft in Burnside Township

Police say sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on December 14, 2018, a known Westover man ordered a Nike #30 James Conner, Steelers jersey, valued at $70, which never arrived.

The investigation is ongoing.
