State Police Calls: Man Violates PFA; Police Seek Info on Stolen Boat


JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Area State Police recently responded to the following calls:

Man Accused of Violating PFA

Matthew Jacob Bookhamer, 36, of Clarion, was charged in district court with indirect criminal contempt for a violation of Protection from Abuse Order against a 25-year-old Summerville woman August 10 at a location on Heathville Road in Summerville.

The charges were filed following an investigation by Punxsutawney-based State Police.

Two Charged for Playing Loud Music

Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a Markton Road residence in Knox Township, Jefferson Co., for a report of loud music being played in the early morning hours Tuesday.

Two known persons – a 66-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman – were playing loud music at 12:30 a.m. Police said it was disruptive and causing inconvenience for their neighbors.

Then, at 2:30 a.m., police returned to the same residence for them playing loud music again.

Charges were filed in district court for disorderly conduct.

Paddle Boat Stolen

According to DuBois-based State Police, someone stole a paddle boat from the residence of a 48-year-old woman on Firetower Road in Polk Township, Jefferson County, sometime between August 5-9.

The boat is yellow on top and blue on the bottom.
