State Police Calls: Two Facing DUI Charges in Jefferson County

police-lights-3PINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Two Jefferson County residents are facing DUI charges after traffic stops last week.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a DUI arrest occurred at 5:36 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, on Route 28 near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

A 50-year-old Brockway man was stopped for a summary traffic violation when he was found to be driving under the influence.

Charges are pending at District Judge Greg Bazylak’s office.

In a second traffic stop at 12:06 a.m., Saturday, April 15, in Pinecreek Township, a known juvenile male was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police also said he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charges are pending with Jefferson County Juvenile Probation.
