State Police Investigating Rossiter Hit-and-Run Crash

CANOE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Thursday in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

Police said the accident happened around 3:00 p.m. along Central Street.

The driver of an unknown vehicle was traveling too fast for the roadway conditions and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and struck and damaged shrubbery outside of a resident’s home.

The driver failed to notify the property owner of the damage and did not provide their financial responsibility information.

Police say it was determined the vehicle was a four-door, white hatchback or SUV with black wheels. It is believed the vehicle sustained front-end damage to its bumper.
