State Police Respond to Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State police responded to a tractor-trailer rollover crash that occurred Saturday evening on Interstate 80 East in Washington Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, around 5:53 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 32-year-old Sartaj Singh, of Manteca, CA, was traveling in a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia east on I-80, at mile marker 93, in Washington Township, Jefferson County, in the right lane.

The tractor-trailer started to travel off the right side of the roadway and struck a guide rail and a road sign.

Singh tried to steer the tractor-trailer back onto the roadway causing it to overturn on its side to its final rest.

Singh was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
