Police Investigating Home Improvement Fraud

IRVONA BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are currently investigating an incident of home improvement fraud.

Police say the fraud was reported by a known 73-year-old male victim and a known 66-year-old female victim from Irvona Borough, Clearfield County, and initially occurred in July of 2019.

The report was for a theft of $4,802.50.

Police say following a brief investigation, it was determined that John James Sofronski, the owner of S&S Construction, is responsible for the reported violations.

Charges are pending through District Court 46-3-04.
