Hilda Marie McAninch, 93, of Brookville, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville, Pa.
Born June 8, 1921 in Knox Dale, Pa. she was the daughter of John Dinger and Myrtle Brown Dinger.
Hilda was married to Clarence B. “Bunny” McAninch for 61 years before his death on August 1, 2003.
She worked as a member of the kitchen staff at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville, Pa.
Hilda was a member of the United Methodist Church in Knox Dale, Pa., the Order of the Eastern Star #320 in Brookville, Pa., and the FOE #983 Ladies Aux. of Brookville, Pa.
She is survived by three sons, Richard, David and John McAninch, all of Brookville, Pa.; one brother, Harry Dinger, of Brookville, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kim Braughler, Amy Sherman, Steve McAninch, Tim McAninch, Brad McAninch, Jeff McAnninch, and Stephanie McAninch. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Hilda was preceded in death by four sisters, Bernice Keatley, Lucille Eshbaugh, Mary Switzer, and Ada Calderwood; one brother, Everette Dinger; and one daughter-in-law, Mary E. McAninch.
Visitation will be at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville, Pa. on Wednesday, August 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The service will be held on Thursday, August 21 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy McConville presiding.
Interment will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Knox Dale, Pa.
