GASKILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 8:00 a.m. on March 16, a hit and run occurred on Filtering Plant Road, 1345 feet east of Bowers Road, in Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.
According to police, an unidentified vehicle traveled west along Filtering Plant Road (State Route 2007) and had to stop at the B&P Railroad crossing.
Police say the vehicle was attempting to turn around and backed into the railroad crossing light located just off the south berm of the roadway.
The vehicle fled east along Filtering Plant Road toward Big Run, according to police.
