Punxsy Police Searching for Female Driver Who Struck Pedestrian

investigationPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Police are seeking the public’s help in finding information on a Tuesday afternoon hit-and-run accident in the borough.

Police say the accident happened near the Dollar General Store in Groundhog Plaza along Hampton Avenue.

Around 3:50 p.m., a dark blue four-door sedan backed out of a parking stall and struck a female walking behind the vehicle.

Police say the driver fled the area without checking on the condition of the pedestrian.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue four-door sedan with a rear spoiler. A dancing flower in a flower pot was on the front dash of the vehicle.

The operator is described as being a middle-aged female with dark hair in a pony tail. She was wearing glasses and dressed in scrubs.
