Punxsy Man Jailed Following Domestic Incident

Police CarPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A Punxsutawney man faces charges after police responded to a report of a domestic incident.

Punxsutawney Borough Police were dispatched to a residence along West Mahoning Street around 9:30 p.m. on September 7 for a domestic incident involving possible weapons, according to police.

After an investigation, police arrested Steven Meholick, 30, of Punxsutawney, on the following charges:

  • two counts of simple assault
  • recklessly endangering another person
  • terroristic threats

Police say Meholick was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Charges have been filed with Judge Chambers.
