FALLS CREEK, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police have released information on a forgery that occurred on Main Street, in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County.
According to police, a known, 40-year-old Falls Creek woman prepared a personal check for a school fundraiser and gave it to the suspect’s daughter.
The suspect – a known, 33-year-old woman – altered the check into her name and cashed it at a local market, police say.
The incident occurred on October 8, 2015.
The name of the suspect was not released.
The investigation continues.
