Driver Escapes Injury in One-Car Crash in Pine Creek Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 9:45 p.m. on March 5, a one-car accident occurred on Interstate 80, west of Sulgar Road, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 37-year-old Jason M. Harkleroad, of Salem, OH, was traveling west on I-80 in the right lane at the 83.2 mile marker.

A coyote or dog ran out in front of Harkleroad’s 2014 Chevrolet Malibu from the medial. Harkleroad was unable to avoid the animal, and the front of his car struck it, damaging the car’s radiator, police say.

He was using a seat belt and was not injured.

No other information was provided.
