JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

Including the cities of Oil City, Franklin, Tionesta, Clarion, Punxsutawney, and Brookville

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY…

* WHAT…Light freezing rain expected. The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges,
including during the morning commute on Friday. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

* WHERE…Forest, Jefferson, Northern Venango, and northern Clarion Counties.

* WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Temperatures will rapidly warm on Friday morning, ending the icing threat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
