Teen Cited in Rear End Crash in Snyder Township

SNYDER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Emporium teenager was cited by police after she rear-ended another vehicle Sunday afternoon in Snyder Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the collision occurred around 1:58 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, the 17-year-old Emporium female was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla north on Route 219 when it hit a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Maria Foringer, 28, of Brockway. Foringer was stopped on the roadway, waiting to turn left on to Pine Acres Road.

Foringer was wearing a seat belt and a one-year-old boy in the Grand Cherokee was in a child safety seat.

Neither occupant was injured.

The 17-year-old female and an 18-year-old female passenger, Lacey A. Decker, of Emporium, were using seat belts and escaped injuries.

The 17-year-old female was cited by police for following too closely.
