McGonigal pinned Erie Cathedral Prep’s Dorian Crosby at 195 pounds and will face off against State Colle’s Cole Urbas, who beat McGonigal, 1-0, in the Regional final last week.

Ho, meanwhile, became the first DuBois wrestler to earn a berth in the state finals since Garrett Bontempo won it all in 1999 by getting a late escape to beat XXX, 8-7 at 145 pounds. Ho will wrestle Sammy Sasso of Nazareth in the finals.

The 3A finals get underway at 7 p.m.

McGonigal and Ho make it three District 9 wrestlers to earn spots in the finals joining Port Allegany’s Jake Kallenborn, who earned a berth Friday night in Saturday’s 2A finals.
