Police Looking for Several People Involved in Bizarre Incident in Jefferson County

BIG RUN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police are seeking multiple individuals who were reportedly involved in an unusual incident in Big Run Borough on Saturday evening.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, at the intersection of State Route 119 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Big Run Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say several unknown individuals, who were traveling south on State Route 119 in two separate vehicles, pulled in front of a known 31-year-old Punxsutawney man’s vehicle, preventing him from pulling out onto State Route 119.

The individuals reportedly yelled at the victim and told him to get out of his vehicle, and one of the individuals allegedly struck the victim’s driver’s side front window, causing damage.

According to police, there were approximately four men and two women involved in the incident.

Police say one of the vehicles was described as a silver/gray Jeep SUV believed to be a Grand Cherokee or a similar model, while the other individual’s vehicle was described as a silver or tan Chevrolet Malibu or a similar model.

The individual who struck the window is believed to have been a partially bald man with dark hair on the sides of his head and reddish-brown facial hair. One of the females was described as having brown hair and was wearing a winter hat.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
