INDIANA CO., Pa. (EYT) – An Indiana County man recently pleaded guilty to charges in two criminal cases.
According to a release from Indiana County District Attorney Bob Manzi, Brian Potts, 33, of Marion Center, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree felony burglary in relation to a case from February 2020 and also pleaded guilty to one-second degree felony count of robbery in relation to a case from October 2021.
In the first case, Potts reportedly broke into a home located in Washington Township, Indiana County where he stole a Sawzall and a chainsaw from the homeowner. Potts then took the two stolen items and sold them to a third party.
In the second case, Potts reportedly entered the InFirst Bank branch located in Plumville Borough, Indiana County, and passed a letter to a teller demanding money. Shortly after the crime, members of the Pennsylvania State Police located Potts at the Dollar General store in Rayne Township, Indiana County. Potts was in possession of some of the money he stole from the bank as well as drugs he just purchased.
Potts is scheduled to stand for sentencing in front of the Honorable President Judge Thomas M. Bianco for both cases on March 28, 2022.
