Laurel Festival Continues Today with First Responders Day, Grand Parade, Fireworks

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Laurel Festival is in full swing today with First Responders Day, the annual Grand Parade, and many family-friendly events planned for all ages to enjoy.

The Laurel Festival runs until Sunday, June 23.

The Grand Parade begins at noon. Following the parade, “Billy and the Neptunes” will take the stage at the Town Square, and the Firemen’s Games will begin.

Finally, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., “Against the Grain” will play before the blast off of the Grand Fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.

The big Autorama and Sporting Day is on Sunday.

The Autorama will be held on Main Street from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine.

Sunday will also include a new weight-lifting tournament in front of the YMCA at 11:00 a.m. and a new Home Run Derby at 1:00 p.m. at McKinley Field.

The Duck drop begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Purple Heart Bridge and there will also be a corn hole tournament beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Town Square.

Food vendors who will be in attendance for the festival include Ricco’s, Tradition’s, AA’s Lemonade, Brody’s BBQ, Wild Wendy’s Rootbeer, N&N Cinnamon Bun, Denny & Pearl’s, Bailey’s, Charlie Chen’s, Lil Doug’s Kettle Korn, and Moons Meats.
