Doris F. Haag

Doris F. Haag, age 77, Berry Road, Punxsutawney, PA died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.

Born June 23, 1938 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late John W. & Alma (Yonkie) Frederick.

On June 24, 1967, she married Raymond L. Haag. He survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Aide and was active in church affairs for many years. She was also a member of the Homemaker’s Club and the Reynoldsville Quilt Club.

She loved gardening, crafts, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, canning and putting puzzles together.

Doris is survived by her son, Jeffrey R. Haag of Newport News, VA and her daughter, Colleen R. Russell and her husband, Bradford of DuBois, PA. She is also survived by four sisters, Hazel Taylor, Grace Williams, Kathryn Kline, Marge Rhines and her husband, Jack, and three grandsons, Brendan Haag, Wesley and Jonathan Russell.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Richard Frederick and four sisters, Esther Lentz, Marion Salvatore, Alice Lang and Shirley Rhines, and a daughter in law, Amy Haag.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home, and on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Church.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11 A.M. from the church with Pastor Audra Krise and Pastor Sally Lydic co-officiating.

Burial will be in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
