C. Thomas Deemer

1111C. Thomas Deemer age 90 a former Glasshurst Road Brockport resident, currently a resident a Highland View Health Care in Brockway, died on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Highland View.

Born on September 22, 1926 in Brockway, he was the son of the late Harold and Emily Thrush Deemer.

He was married to Barbara McFadden and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2007.

Retired, Tom had been employed as a Machinist at Brockway Glass for 38 years. He was a member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Tom was a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion, the Brockway Ambulance Association and was a member of the N.R.A.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and especially spending time at his camp in Stoneboro, PA. Most importantly to Tom though was enjoying as much time as he could with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and all family activities.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Linda (Tom) Thompson of Brockway; Jenny (Bob) Bish of Mayport, PA; Anna Belle (Denny) Roberts of Dickens, Iowa; 2 sons: Tom (Paula) Deemer of Brockway; Rod (Betsy) Kelsey of DuBois; 1 sister: Pat (Allen) Cook of Clarington, PA; 2 brothers: Jim (Polly) Deemer of Treasure Lake and Luke Deemer of Maryland.

He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a son James Kelsey, 2 sisters Lois Barletta, Doris Galbreath and a brother Marlin “Jake” Deemer.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 30 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 1st at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating.

Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Brockway.

Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Thursday morning at the cemetery.

While floral bouquets are appreciated, memorial donations to the Brockway Ambulance P.O. Box 222 Brockway, PA. 15824 or American Legion Post #95 1109 Pershing Avenue Brockway, PA 15824 are preferred.
