Dale Groves was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War.
He also served his community as a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois and a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17.
Following his funeral service, full military honors were accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
He was laid to rest in Morningside Cemetery.
