Allen E. Dempsey, 73, of Emerickville, PA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
He was born on June 13, 1945, to the late Harry W. and Lillian (Hughes) Dempsey in Brookville, PA.
Allen graduated from the Brookville Area High School with the class of 1963. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Judy (Frederick) Dempsey who he has spent the last twenty-seven years with.
He was a member of the Brookville F.O.E. 983, and the Brookville Firemen’s Club. Allen was also a member of the American Legion Post 102 in Brookville, PA. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. He enjoyed having coffee in the morning with his friends at either the F.O.E. or the Brookville Firemen’s Club. Above all, Allen loved and cared for his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Jenn (John) McNeil of Brookville, PA; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathon Dempsey, and Elissa McNeil; five step-grandchildren, Garrett, Nathanial, Izsak, Shane, and Kayla Kerner; and one sister, Sandra (Ken) Shaffer of Brookville, PA.
In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by one son, Michael A. Dempsey.
