Alton L. Burkett, 84, of Punxsutawney, PA died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney, PA.
He was born April 14, 1931 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Manuel J. and Orilla (Minick) Burkett.
He was a farmer all of his life.
He is survived by his niece, Millie Reitz and her husband, Donald; and one brother-in-law, Dale Fike of Mayport, PA.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Todd, Martha Dobson, Mildred Hoch and Elva Fike; also one infant brother.
Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug Dyson officiating.
Burial will be in Barton Chapel Cemetery in Sprankle Mills, PA.
