Ann B. Crawford, 100, of Miami Shores, FL and formerly of DuBois, passed away at Jackson North Medical Center in Florida on November 24,2016.
Born on November 18, 1916 in DuBois; she was daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Ditchburn) Schweickert. Her aunt and uncle, Montie (Sis) and John (JM)
Ditchburn played an important role in raising her.
She was a 1935 graduate of DuBois Area High School and states that raising her children was the most important thing that she ever did in her life.
Mrs. Crawford was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois and was their oldest member.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Paul H. Crawford and his husband Mark Spingle of Biscayne Park, FL; two grandchildren: Griffin Stambaugh and Garrett Stambaugh; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her generation.
Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul W. Crawford, who passed away on August 20, 2007; three brothers; and daughter, Cris Ann Stambaugh, who passed away April 9, 2009.
Friends will be received at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
Funeral Services will be at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11 am with Mr. LaMarr Adamson officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to any local Humane Society as Ann was a great lover of animals.
