Anne Louise Decker Keen

Ann Louise Decker Keen, 87, formerly of Gelnett and long-time resident of the DuBois Village, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the DuBois Village.

Born September 25, 1930, in Curwensville, she was the daughter of the late Russell Montgomery Decker and Doris (Williams) Decker.

She married Thomas E. Keen on February 14, 1952, in Curwensville. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on February 1, 2003.

As well as holding positions at Clearfield Cheese and B.F. Goodrich, she was co-founder of Keen’s Mobile Park. She is most remembered and honored by others for her over 35 years of extensive volunteer work through her church and Christian Women’s Organization. Her philosophy was her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, deserved her best and He got no less. She was a long-time member of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church.

Those who were blessed to know her knew she always left things a little better than she found them, reached out to others with unconditional compassion and hospitality, and was brave enough to do the right thing at the right time with a gracious heart.

Her children, Russell “Rusty” Keen (son) and wife, Patty Keen, of DuBois; Susan Keen Campbell (daughter) and husband, John “Rick” Campbell, of Lexington, Kentucky; and Joel Keen (son) and wife, Melissa Keen, of DuBois, rise up and call her blessed for her selfless love and tireless devotion.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret “Peg” Hugall of Hyde, as well as six grandchildren: Daniel Rossi-Keen and wife, Pamela; Thomas Keen and wife, Alexis; David Keen and wife, Nicole; Jesse Keen, Emily Keen, and Anne-Marie Keen Campbell, as well as six great-grandchildren: Owen, Maria, Carmen, and Caspian Rossi-Keen, Payton Keen, and Jaden Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Robert Keen and Jeffery Keen, a great-grandson, Solomon Rossi-Keen, as well as three brothers, William, Sheridan, and Fred Decker.
