Anne Louise Murajda

Anne Louise Murajda, 97, of Adrian, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born in Delancey on April 19, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles George Murajda and Helen (Prehoda) Murajda.

Ms. Murajda was a graduate of the Saint Adrian High School.

Anne was a member of the former Saint Adrian Catholic Church and Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church.

She worked for many years as the secretary and housekeeper of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Cambridge Springs.

Anne loved her family visits with her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She liked drinking coffee and having deserts while enjoying their company. Decorating for each and every holiday was a passion for Anne, she looked forward to the changing seasons and upcoming holidays. She kept an immaculate home and enjoyed sitting down in the evening to watch the evening news and game shows.

She is survived by two sisters, Martha Bembenick of Mechanicsburg and Dorothy Pisarcik of Delancey; numerous nieces and nephews, of which she was the Godmother of many.

Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, John Murajda, Carl “Elmer” Murajda and Michael “Pepper” Murajda; three sisters, Helen Murajda, Margaret Borys and Teresa Murajda.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, at Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.

Interment will follow at Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery, McCalmont Township.

Memorial donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Saint Vincent de Paul at Saints Cosmas and Damian Church.

Arrangements were made through Shumaker Funeral Home.
