Area Woman Accused of Screaming, Knocking on Victim’s Windows While Intoxicated in Pine Creek Township

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An area woman was charged for reportedly causing a disturbance and tapping on a victim’s front windows during a drunken escapade in Pine Creek Township.

Court documents show Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges against 35-year-old Kari Elaine Rucinski, of DuBois, in District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office on April 2.

According to a criminal complaint, PSP Punxsutawney was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Lutheran Cemetery Road in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County, for a report of an unknown female who was screaming and knocking on a known victim’s front windows around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2.

Troopers arrived on the scene and made contact with the victim, who stated there was an unknown woman yelling “(expletive) the world” and other profanities outside his residence, the complaint states.

The woman, who was later identified as Kari Rucinski, walked through the victim’s yard and then tapped on the front windows of the residence, the complaint indicates.

The victim told police he believed the woman entered his neighbor’s residence. Troopers made contact with the neighbor, who related Rucinski is “extremely intoxicated” and was actively screaming while the neighbor was talking to police, the complaint notes.

Police were also informed Rucinski consumed a large amount of alcohol and had been throwing items in the residence. Troopers spoke to Rucinski, who admitted she was “very drunk” and was observed nude covered in a bedsheet, according to the complaint.

Due to Rucinski’s current state, she was transported to the Jefferson County Jail to await arraignment.

During a search incident to arrest, a small amount of marijuana was located in Rucinski’s purse, the complaint states.

She was charged with the following:

– Disorderly Conduct-unreasonable Noise, Misdemeanor 3
– Public Drunkenness and Similar Misconduct, Summary
– Harassment – Course of Conduct W/ No Legitimate Purpose, Summary
– Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Summary

A preliminary hearing is set for May 9, at 2:30 p.m., with Judge Bazylak presiding.
