Area Woman Extricated from Vehicle After Car Slams into Trees


BRADY TWP., Clearfield Co., Pa. (EYT) — A DuBois woman was taken to the hospital after crashing Wednesday night on Route 219.

According to DuBois-based State Police, Courtney M. Gelnett, 32, was driving a 2005 Chrysler 399 west on Route 219 in Brady Township when it crossed into the eastbound lane, off the road and hit several trees.

Gelnett was extricated from the vehicle by mechanical means and was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with injuries of an unknown severity. She was wearing her seatbelt.

State Police were assisted at the scene by Brady Township Volunteer Fire and EMS, the DuBois Fourth Ward Fire Department, DuSan Ambulance and Jewell’s Towing.
